| Portable selective electroplating, also know as brush plating, has become a more acceptable and desirable means to re-working parts, machines, tools, etc. mainly because it has repeatedly proven to save time, money, materials and equipment.
LDC's Selective Portable Electroplating goes to the job site. Solutions can be deposited on most conductive substrates, with over 60 standard precious metals, non-precious metals, and a variety of alloys.
The mechanics of selective electroplating are simple. A power pack suplies a negative charge to the part as a positive charge to the plating tool. The tool is used to apply a specially formulated plating solution to the work area. Plating occurs only where the tool contacts the work piece.
Typical applications are bearings, bearing housings, journals, end bells, o-ring grooves, pump housings, shafts, etc. |
