Associated Electro-Mechanics is a 24-hour one-stop industrial sales and service center servicing all of New England, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Eastern New York market areas.

Situated on 3.6 acres in Springfield, Massachusetts, AEM’s service facility is comprised of 84,000 square feet, including a 10,000 square foot high bay, serviced by a 35-ton overhead crane.

AEM offers complete AC and DC electric motor and generator repair and rewinding services, from fractional HP to 5000HP motors. Additionally, AEM will give your motor or generator complete mechanical attention. We press out broken and scored shafts, fabricate new shafts or resurface worn areas, rebabbitt bearings or replace roller or ball bearings.

AEM is a Factory Authorized Sales and Service facility for multiple types of products; pumps, blowers, AC motors and VFD’s and DC motors, drives and controls. We are also a metal stitch repair specialist, repairing cracks on cast iron, cast aluminum, pump castings, gearbox castings, engine blocks, any and all machinable cast parts.

Extensive inventories of motors, drives, and controls support a full range of mechanical and machine rebuilding. AEM diversities also include welding, metal spraying, brush plating, machining, dynamic balancing, hoist and crane service, and motor and generator rewinding and rebuilding.

AEM’s factory trained field and shop technicians are OSHA, DCAM and ISO 9001 compliant. Our field service personnel offer on-site service, troubleshooting, installation, and startup for most manufacturers of AC variable frequency drives and DC drives and controls.

While the services described above are only a fraction of what AEM can do, our ability to onsite disconnect, rig, remove, deliver to shop, recondition/repair, deliver, install, laser align and test, along with our Master Electrician truly identifies us as a 24-hour one-stop service center.

History

Frank Smelezics Normand LebeauAssociated Electro-Mechanics was established in 1976 by the late Normand Lebeau and Frank Smelewicz. In the early days, AEM was a small repair facility with six employee’s, servicing Massachusetts and on occasions neighboring states. Over the years, AEM has steadily grown. We now have 48 employees, service all of New England, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey and have over 3,000 customers.

Our current owner, Elayne Lebeau, and the CEO, Tracey Lebeau, continues to expand our services and product offerings to provide one of the largest independently owned industrial sales and services facilities in New England.
